Baca Gitu Loh - Borneo - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo donated cows to support the implementation of the 19th Haul of Sheikh Muhammad Zaini Abdul Ghani or Teachers' Gathering in Martapura City, Banjar Regency, which was handed over by South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Regional Police Chief Inspector General Winarto.

"We handed over a total of six Limosine cattle with a total weight of 7.15 tons today, including from the National Police Chief," said Regional Police Chief Winarto in Martapura, Thursday.

Handover of cows for consumption by the congregation carrying out the haul in the courtyard of the Ar Raudhah Sekumpul prayer room which is the center of this activity.

Regional Police Chief Winarto hopes that the haul planned for Sunday 14 January 2024 will run safely, orderly and smoothly.

He appealed to the congregation to follow the directions of officers and volunteers in the field so that the situation could be controlled. Moreover, it is predicted that millions of people will attend, as in previous years.

To finalize security readiness, he continued, the South Kalimantan Regional Police held a final coordination meeting on Friday (12/1) attended by all relevant agencies and also representatives of volunteers and families.

The Regional Police Chief said that he would deploy more than a thousand South Kalimantan Regional Police personnel to support security measures carried out by the Banjar Police, including controlling traffic along the pilgrims' arrival route.

"Other police stations are also on alert because they are crossing paths for pilgrims from their respective regions, both from the north, south, and the borders of Central Kalimantan and East Kalimantan," explained Regional Police Chief Winarno. ***
